Elly Robinson appointed Principal, Practice Design
We are delighted to announce that Elly Robinson has been appointed as Principal, Practice Design at the Parenting Research Centre (PRC). Through this role, Elly will support more organisations in the family services sector to utilise our PracticeWorks methodology, which helps organisations define, deliver and continually improve on their practice based on the latest evidence about what works to support parents.
Elly is a qualified public health and adolescent health specialist, with extensive experience across the health and welfare sector as a project manager and consultant. Elly has led large-scale, national projects with a focus on increasing the use of evidence in practice and building workforce capacity.
PracticeWorks responds to the need to draw on evidence in service delivery, in a way that is flexible enough to suit the different contexts of services and communities, as well as the different needs of families. It’s an approach that aims to support a consistent level and quality of service – regardless of who families are working with in an organisation.
We have utilised the PracticeWorks approach with a number of service providers and government agencies, including Wesley Mission, Wanslea, Churches of Christ, Windemere, Barnardos, Smith Family, Key Assets and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. The work has spanned practice design projects, through to implementation and evaluation support, and has been applied at the service, agency and systems level.
More recently, leaders who have worked with us on practice frameworks have been invited to join a community of organisations who are leading practice change projects. This enables sharing of learnings and emerging best-practice, and allows us insight into how this work is being experienced on the ground.
We look forward to working alongside more agencies in this way under Elly’s leadership.
