Global Congress to inspire innovation in support
October, 2022
If you work to empower parents and families and want to share your ideas with other researchers, policymakers, practitioners, consumers and service providers – mark the International Congress on Evidence-based Parenting Support (I-CEPS) in your diary.
The first Congress, being held online from June 6-8, 2023 by the Parenting and Family Research Alliance (PAFRA), aims to inspire innovation and collective action among parenting support sector organisations. It is a global initiative to advance research, policy and practice in the field of parenting and family intervention.
I-CEPS is currently accepting abstracts from those who would like to present at the Congress. Presentations may cover policy, practice and research relating to parenting programs and services, program design and development, theory development and testing and consumer-focused applications.
In 2021, the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) was part of the establishment of PAFRA, which brings together Australian family and parenting researchers to address common issues and advocate for evidence-based parenting support.
PRC is a supporter organisation of I-CEPS, and we look forward to collaborating with colleagues and peers to progress evidence-based practice, engage with the issues around parenting support, and fostering partnerships with like-minded organisations who wish to make a difference to children’s wellbeing.
Through this event, we hope to bring people together to explore and discuss contemporary evidence-based parenting support, and build momentum for sustainable practice and policy change in this space.
