About the events

Interactive online discussions

For almost 10 years, we have been producing regular webinars giving parents and carers quality parenting information. This project, known as ParentingNow, is funded by the Victorian Government and produced and delivered in collaboration with the Raising Children Network. The webinars are promoted through the Raising Children Network website and social media channels, cover a range of contemporary topics for parents of children aged 0-18 years, are delivered by subject matter experts and facilitated by our team.

What we do

Expert-led information

The ParentingNow webinars draw on our network of experts to present each webinar, ensuring that the live events offer evidence-based and trustworthy information to support parents, carers and professionals in building their knowledge and skills. Topics are selected based on parent needs and interests according to Raising Children Network data and popular topics have included social and emotional development, child behaviour, toilet training and fussy eating.

Why it’s important

Accessible format

The interactive webinars provide an avenue for people of diverse literacy levels and those who prefer video-based content to easily access quality parenting information. Attendees are invited to submit questions or concerns that they would like addressed and the online delivery also allows access from all over Australia. The events are also held in the evening to enable greater participation.
