Service: Assessing impact

Our work with Two Good Co

Our evaluation team was engaged to provide a robust assessment of how well Two Good’s Work Work programs were meeting the needs of women who had experienced homelessness, domestic and family violence and complex trauma. What we found gave the organisation validation and some ideas for future growth.

About the programs

Helping women gain a sense of self-worth

The Eveleigh and Darlo Work Work programs, run by NSW-based social enterprise Two Good Co in partnership with the Paul Ramsay Foundation, employ women in a food-based employment program.

The women are employed and nurtured in the social enterprise’s hospitality services to build employment qualities and assisted to develop confidence and job and life skills.

What we did

Mixed-method approach

We used various methods to evaluate the Work Work programs, including analysis of outcome data and conducting interviews with participants, staff and stakeholders.

This was bolstered by using the PhotoVoice research methodology, which involved 15 women providing photographs to assist them to describe their experiences in the programs and the impact on their lives.

What we found

Success in supporting and empowering

Our evaluation of Two Good Co’s Work Work programs provided the organisation and its funder with preliminary evidence to suggest it was meeting its aims of supporting, empowering and employing women.

Our evaluation also mapped out future opportunities for Two Good Co and funder Paul Ramsay Foundation.
