What’s it really like to work at the Parenting Research Centre (PRC)? To find out, we ask our staff to share honest feedback about their experience covering culture, leadership, wellbeing, and development every year, so we can continue to learn, grow, and improve as an organisation.
This year, flexibility stood out as the most valued aspect of working at the PRC, a component that has helped us once again be recognised as a ‘Best Workplace’ by Xref Engage (formerly the Voice Project Awards). Xref Engage recognises organisations that have a highly engaged workforce, excellent management practices, internal opportunities, and career progression.
To qualify, organisations must meet one of two benchmarks: achieve staff satisfaction of at least 80 per cent, or exceed the industry benchmark by 10 per cent. We excelled in both, with our results well above the industry average across:
- job satisfaction and commitment at 93%
- wellbeing (emotional wellness and ability to manage work stress) at 81%
- progress (staff perceptions of growth and organisational performance) at 94%
All of these scores were at least 10% higher than the not-for-profit industry benchmark, an achievement for which we’re proud.
