The Parenting Research Centre (PRC) has been named as a winner of Voice Project’s Best Workplace Awards for 2021. This award recognises workplaces that have excellent management practices and a highly engaged workforce, determined through Voice Project’s regular employee engagement surveys.
To receive the award, organisations need to reach one of two criteria; staff satisfaction at or above 80 per cent or be 10 per cent above the industry benchmark. PRC exceeded both criteria with 83.1 per cent staff satisfaction, 12.0 per cent above the industry benchmark.
The people and values of the PRC were acknowledged as particular strengths of the organisation, with 100 per cent of staff who completed the survey saying they believed in the values of the organisation and agreed that staff treated each other with respect. All respondents also indicated that there were enough flexible work arrangements to meet their needs and that they were proud to say they worked for the PRC.
PRC CEO Warren Cann said the survey results illustrate the high-level of commitment staff have to the work of the PRC.
A positive culture is essential for an organisation that depends on high-level creativity and problem-solving. Everybody in the organisation can take pride in the part they play in making the PRC a great place to work.”
