The Parenting Research Centre this week brought together the CEOs of our national MyTime delivery partners for a strategic discussion on the program’s strengths and growth opportunities.
CEOs from Association for Children with a Disability Tasmania, Playgroup NSW, Play Matters Australia, Down Syndrome Victoria, Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Queensland, Child and Family Disability Alliance, Belongside Families, ACD, Kiind, Ngala, and the Women’s and Children’s Health Network, joined the Parenting Research Centre (PRC) for a strategic workshop to shape the future of MyTime, a program that supports parents and carers of children with a disability or other additional needs in Australia.
Funded by the Department of Social Services, MyTime is a Parenting Research Centre-developed program that’s been supporting parents since 2007. With 190+ groups across Australia, MyTime has more than 4,500 members, providing them opportunities to build social connections, share experiences and strengthen their wellbeing.
The program’s impressive scale and impact are possible because of the partner agencies, which lead the delivery of the program in their states and territories as well as online.
The CEO roundtable provided an opportunity to share insights, discuss opportunities for growth, and ensure the program continues to meet the needs of families and communities. PRC CEO Rob Ryan said the meeting reflected the program’s collaborative approach.
MyTime’s strength lies in the combination of national leadership, evidence-informed design and the local expertise of our partners. Working together at a leadership level helps us make sure we’re delivering the best possible outcomes for families.”
The Parenting Research Centre is proud to lead this national partnership, working alongside organisations that share our commitment to supporting families when they need it most.
